Volunteer Requirements
The Breezy Point Figure Skating Club relies on the support of our families to keep programs running smoothly and to create a positive experience for all skaters. Volunteer hours are required for Club, Aspire, and Associate members, and optional for Skate School families unless their skater participates in a show.
Annual Volunteer Hour Requirements (Per Family Account)
Club & Aspire Members
- 20 volunteer hours per season (July–June)
- 6 of the 20 hours must be completed at Meat Raffles
- Some volunteer participation is also required for the Spring Show
Associate Members
- 5 volunteer hours per season (July–June)
Skate School Families
- Volunteer hours are optional, except when a skater participates in the Holiday Exhibition or Spring Show.
Buy‑Out Policy
- Families will be billed $20 per unmet hour.
- Buy‑out option: $500 per registered Club or Aspire family.
- All hours must be completed by May 1 of the current season.
- Accounts with outstanding volunteer balances must be settled before registering for the next season.
Volunteer Expectations
- Volunteers must complete the full scheduled shift; partial hours or late arrivals cannot be credited.
- Hours apply only to the scheduled event time, not setup or teardown unless listed.
- Friends and extended family may volunteer on behalf of your skater.
- Exceptions to Meat Raffle requirements may be made on a case‑by‑case basis.
Volunteer Opportunities
Weekly Meat Raffle
Register under the Events tab
- Duties: Selling raffle tickets table‑to‑table, setup, and cleanup
- Thursdays, approx. 6:00–7:00 pm
- Location: The North Star, Breezy Point, MN
Ice Monitor
Register under the Events tab

Duties: Monitor skaters on the ice during designated sessions, help maintain a safe environment, assist coaches with traffic flow, and communicate any concerns as needed

Communication
Volunteer opportunities are emailed to the default email on your skater’s account and managed by the BPFSC Volunteer Chair.
